Others answered most of your questions, I don't know what they mean by "expensive initial investment" when the first 3 months is 10 bucks for the highest sub, and 10 for everyone month after. They've also added a tile based dungeon generator but I haven't had the chance to try it out yet so I can't comment on its strengths or weaknesses. Similar to other VTT, it also has lighting, line of sight, and so on. Party negotiates 60% of retail? Put in 60, hit sell, and then hit distribute and all the gold is auto split. Finally, all remaining junk items can be auto sold at whatever % of their Listed price that the DM wants. DM or characters can drag other items to their personal sheet (magic items can have their properties hidden with a single click until they are identified). DM can push 1 button and have all coins split evenly to all PC sheets automatically. Party finds it so DM drags it to the party sheet. Create a loot parcel for an encounter, treasure, horde, etc. Cast fireball on 12 goblins and 2 party members? No problem, target them all and the combat tracker rolls all their saves individually, rolls damage, and applies damage according to their save automatically. It resolves all player attacks, rolls, saves, and so vs any NPCs that they target. In my experience, the combat tracker in Fantasy Grounds does exactly what a DM needs.
